Graphic Image Annotations
You can add graphic image annotations to your documents and open the images from
the Document Browser. Graphic Image annotations are useful for adding diagrams,
photos or illustrations to selected text in a document. Graphic Image annotations
do not affect your original files. To add a Graphic Image annotation:
- With a document open in the Document Browser, select Edit > Annotate > Graphic Image, press [CTRL-G] on your keyboard, or click the
Attach Image button.
- The mouse pointer turns into a marker.
Move the marker to the place where you want to insert the graphic, and click once.
The Create an Image Annotation window opens:
- Select the folder containing the image you wish to insert and click on the file
you want. You can preview the graphic before you insert it by checking Show
image preview. The buttons on the window perform the following functions:
- Icon - choose an icon to mark the location of the annotation in the document.
The default icon will be displayed to the left of the Icon button. Change the icon
by clicking the Icon button and selecting a new icon from a list.
- Delete - delete an existing annotation. This button is only active if you
have selected an existing annotation. See Deleting
Annotations for more information.
- OK - save your image and close the annotation window.
- Cancel - cancel the addition of the annotation and close the annotation window.
- Click OK.
- The annotation will be added to your document, with the chosen icon indicating its
location.
When viewed, graphic image annotations will display in the Graphic Viewer.
