Change the name of the index by simply typing it in this box. Choose a name that reflects the content of the index.
Perceptive Search can automatically categorize you documents at indexing time, the number of categories automatically created can be adjusted via the slider.

Allows a user to rank the quality of the documents being indexed, per index. The index bias is then used to help rank the documents.
The metadata section shows the metadata items being collated and available for search refinement. This information is generated automatically from the index.
Not all metadata is available for search refinement, Perceptive Search will analyze the index to identify the metadata fields that can be used for search refinement. For a metadata field to be considered, it must meet the following requirements:
The metadata list shows the metadata field, the data type and whether the field should be shown in the search refinement. All auto detected fields are initially set to show.
Perceptive Search can perform slightly different tasks depending on the type of the data, the options are:
Activate (or de-activate) this option by selecting the checkbox.
When you choose to allow the users to access the index at the same time as an index update, it will typically degrade performance of both the query and update processes by about 15%. However, this is offset by the benefit of updating the index without having to log off your query users before running the update.
If you intend to use an index with Perceptive Enterprise Search - Local Administration Console you should set this item by default.
This option is enabled for all new indexes.
Note: You must not change this option while there are any users using the Perceptive Enterprise Search.
