Perceptive Search provides a powerful and flexible way to control what content is indexed. You can specify inclusion and exclusion rules for each folder as well as the scope of each rule.
You can specify a rule for a folder by clicking the drop down box
to the left of any given folder. The image shown to the left of each folder indicates
the type and scope of any rules that apply to this folder. It may be one of the
following:
![]() | Default | - | There are no rules for this folder. No items will be indexed. |
![]() | Explicit Include | - | All items contained in this folder will be indexed. |
![]() | Implicit Include | - | All items contained within this folder are indexed. This folder is indexed because a parent folder has an inclusion rule. |
![]() | Explicit Exclusion | - | No items from this folder are indexed. |
![]() | Implicit Exclusion | - | No items from this folder are indexed. This folder is excluded from being indexed as a parent folder has an exclusion rule. |
