License Codes

All Perceptive Search products use a system of License Codes to control access. License Codes determine which Perceptive Search products you can use, whether they are time-limited evaluations, and what level of user access is provided.

You are required to enter a License Code during installation.

A License Code is included with each boxed copy of Perceptive Search. If you downloaded an Perceptive Search product for evaluation from the Internet, a dynamic temporary code is emailed to you.

When you upgrade an Perceptive Search product from evaluation to full license, or purchase additional user licenses from Perceptive Search, you receive an additional code.

Adding new licenses

To add a new license:

1. From the start menu, select Start > Programs > Perceptive Enterprise Search > License Manager
2. For a standalone license, change to the Local License Codes tab; for a multiple seat license, change to the Network License Codes tab
3. Click the Add button and enter your code, click OK
4. Click the OK button to update your licenses.

Managing Licenses

The License Manager allows you to add, delete, replace and activate License Codes.

1. From the start menu, select Start > Programs > Perceptive Enterprise Search > License Manager
2. For a standalone licenses, change to the Local License Codes tab; for a multiple seat licenses, change to the Network License Codes tab
3. You can now add, edit or delete your licenses
4. Click the OK button to update your licenses.

All License Codes require activation within 14 days.
