When you create a new index using the Perceptive Search Indexing Wizard, Perceptive Search will prepopulate the destination folder from these settings.
Indicates the default location where Perceptive Search should store personal indexes. You can override the default when you create the index. If you change this value, your old indexes will still reside in the previous location.
Index Location
Used to multi-user installations, indicates the default location where Perceptive Search should store shared indexes. You can override the default when you create the index. If you change this value, your old indexes will still reside in the previous location.
Catalog Location
Indicates the path where the shared catalog is stored. The shared catalog allows you to have a collection of indexes that are accessible by multiple users.
From time to time, Perceptive Search may need to create temporary files, these settings allow you to override the default location as read from the system environment variables.
