Perceptive Search recognizes WordPerfect files in slightly different ways depending on the version of WordPerfect in which they were created.
Documents created with WordPerfect version 5 or above have internal markers to verify the version number. Documents created with version 4.2 or earlier do not. Perceptive Search automatically checks documents defined as WordPerfect 4.2 format, to see if they have been upgraded to a newer format.
If you have a combination of WordPerfect documents from version 5 and earlier versions, it is advised that they should ALL be defined as WordPerfect version 4.2 files. Perceptive Search will recognize which documents belong to which version of WordPerfect. If, on the other hand, the documents are defined as 5 or above documents, Perceptive Search will not index any that are still in version 4.2 format.
