TRIM Context

Requirements

• TRIM Context WebService

Configuration

To add a federated of TRIM Context:

1. Navigate the the Indexes page of the Administration Console.
2. Click the New Index button on the toolbar.
3. Select Federated Source and click Next.
4. Select TRIM Context from the list and click Next.
5. Enter the URL to your TRIM Context Server, it should contain the protocol, example:
   http://trim.myserver.com
6. You will now have the option of entering a username and password, they are note mandatory. 
   
   • If you provide credentials, the search will always be executed as this user.  This can be more robust, but means that TRIM security is not enforced.
   • By omitting the credentials, the search will be executed as the searching user.  TRIM security will be enforced, but you will need to enable security on the Perceptive Enterprise Search website to have it challenge the user for their credentials.
   Click Next.
7. You will now be able to test your configuration, simply type in a search expression you know to exist in the TRIM server.  If results are shown, your connector has been correctly configured.  Click Next.
8. The last step is to provide a name for this connector, the name will be shown as a selectable index. 
9. Click Finish to create the connector.
