Alerts

Perceptive Enterprise Search can send emails to notify you when an indexing process has completed. To handle this, you must first provide Perceptive Enterprise Search with details of your SMTP mail server in the Mail Server configuration page. Then you can configure the settings for how you wish the alerts to be handled.

Enabled

This setting enables or disables the sending of alerts.

This setting controls when an alert will be sent if alerts are enabled. The following settings are available:

• General Notifications (Success and Warnings) - Send an alert only when an index process has completed successfully (with or without warnings)
• Failure Notifications - Send an alert only when an index process fails to complete

Sender Address

This setting should contain an email address. This address will be used as the "From" address in the email alerts sent from Perceptive Enterprise Search.

Mail Recipients

This setting contains a list of email addresses separated by semicolons. These are the addresses that the alert emails will be sent to, based on the criteria above.

Subject

This setting is the subject line of the alert emails. The {INDEX} symbol will be replaced by the name of the index for which the alert was generated.
