You must specify which version of each component image to deploy. These versions are stored in a .env file in the same folder as your docker-compose.yml file.

To configure component image versions:

  1. Open your preferred terminal application.
  2. Navigate to the folder containing your docker-compose.yml file by running a command similar to the following:
    cd [your/folder/path]/docker-compose
    where [your/folder/path/] is the path to your docker-compose.yml file.
  3. Create a new .env file in that directory by running the following command:
    touch .env
  4. Open the .env file in a plain text editor, such as Visual Studio Code.
  5. Add the following settings to the file, replacing x.x.x with the required version for each component:
    Note: For a supported component version, see the section for your specific Content Services version in the Alfresco Supported Platforms documentation.
    ALFRESCO_TAG=x.x.x
    SHARE_TAG=x.x.x
    POSTGRES_TAG=x.x
    TRANSFORM_ROUTER_TAG=x.x.x
    TRANSFORM_CORE_AIO_TAG=x.x.x
    SHARED_FILE_STORE_TAG=x.x.x
    ACTIVE_MQ_TAG=x.x.x-jre17-rockylinux8
    DIGITAL_WORKSPACE_TAG=x.x.x
    CONTROL_CENTER_TAG=x.x.x
    ACS_NGINX_TAG=x.x.x
    ELASTICSEARCH_TAG=x.x.x
    SEARCH_ENTERPRISE_TAG=x.x.x
    LOCALSTACK_TAG=x.x.x
    WIREMOCK_TAG=x.x.x
    KEYCLOAK_TAG=x.x.x
    HXINSIGHT_CONNECTOR_TAG=x.x.x
  6. Save the .env file.
    Your .env file is ready. When Docker Compose starts, it reads the .env file and pulls the specified version of each component image. If a version is missing or incorrect, Docker Compose reports an error when attempting to pull the image.
  7. Configure the Live Ingester. See Configuring the Live Ingester.
