You can share Alfresco Digital Workspace links within the Teams client. Your colleagues can preview the contents of a public link directly in Teams without navigating to the Digital Workspace by clicking Preview, or they can open the link in Digital Workspace by clicking Open in Alfresco.

Users do not need to log in to Alfresco Digital Workspace when using Preview in Teams.

CAUTION: Due to a Microsoft Teams client update, the Preview button may not work for recipients when using the Microsoft Teams desktop client, and the following error may be displayed: Something went wrong. Make sure you've successfully added the app. If this occurs, recipients can use Open in Alfresco to view the document in Alfresco Digital Workspace or use the Microsoft Teams mobile application to preview the document.

Send a public shared link to a colleague in the Microsoft Teams client.

When you paste the public link into the Type a new message box, a preview of the link is displayed. The link expands to show a thumbnail and filename.
Your colleague sees the link and its expanded contents in the chat window.
To preview the contents of the link in Teams, click Preview.

Note: If your colleague encounters an error when using the Microsoft Teams desktop client, they can still preview the file using the Teams mobile application.
To view the file in Alfresco Digital Workspace, click Open in Alfresco.
