Supported Platforms

Added support for Microsoft Windows Server 2025

Installer

The Kadmos 5 recognition engine is no longer included in the default installation. With the capabilities of (1) CloudOCR for handwriting recognition, and (2) Finereader11 Custom Character Set recognition, the Kadmos 5 engine is now deprecated. If needed, Kadmos 5 installation can be selected during a custom installation or modification.

Note: Upgrading will not affect existing Kadmos 5 installations.

.NET Framework

BIC now requires .NET Framework 4.8.1

Passwords

CB-29357: Minimum password complexity rules have been updated.

Web Verifier

CB-7960: The Verify next invalid batch option is now fully supported in Web Verifier. With this option selected, the next invalid batch is opened when releasing a batch instead of the first invalid batch.

OCR

  • CB-28857: CloudOCR extended to support Microsoft's Azure AI Services Image Analysis v4.0 Read endpoint.
  • CB-29059: CloudOCR now supports Microsoft's Azure AI Services Document Intelligence v4.0 endpoint for text-heavy documents.
