This section provides information on how you can log on to SCM. To be able to log on to SCM, you need to be a Brainware Intelligent Capture (BIC) user with Administrator (ADM) role.

For more information on users and user roles, refer to the BIC Documentation.

  1. Open an Internet browser and enter the Solution Configuration Manager URL.
  2. In the User Name box, confirm or enter your user name and in the Password box, enter your password.

If your credentials are correct and accepted, you are authorized to use the application. If you have entered invalid credentials, an error message appears. If there are three invalid attempts in a row in a period of 30 seconds, you will be locked out. However, after entering incorrect credentials for the first time, if you wait for 35 seconds before entering your credentials again, the system resets the invalid attempts counter to zero. These are the default settings. To configure the incorrect password attempts and lockout duration, refer to the SCM Installation Guide.

  3. Click Log in.
Note: In your previous session, if you logged out of SCM without exporting the database settings in a migration packet, a message is displayed prompting you to unlock the associated fields by exporting the packets. Click Close to close the message box and continue logging on to SCM.
