Caution: This upgrade empties the Content Composer installation directory. It is therefore mandatory to perform the following steps. Neither Hyland Software, Inc. nor any of its authorized resellers are responsible for lost data caused by any update procedure described in this document.

To retain your unique customizations and back up your databases and configuration files:

  1. Create a backup of all Content Composer Repository and Odin databases.
  2. Open a Command Prompt window with Administrator rights.
  3. Navigate to the directory that contains the content of ComposerUpdate_23-02_To_24-01.zip.
  4. Execute the following command, replacing [backup directory] with a directory other than the Content Composer installation directory: 
    backupConfiguration.cmd [backup directory]
