The Content Composer Web Client installer does not provide an update procedure. To update to a newer version, uninstall the existing version and then install the current version.

Notes

  • For information on the compatible Desktop Host version and update instructions for Desktop Host, see the Hyland Desktop Host Installation Guide.

  • If an existing Content Composer Web Client installation used Hyland IdP authentication, see the Content Composer Technical Specifications for information about compatible Hyland IdP versions.

Complete the following steps.

  1. Optional. From the [Installation path]\hy-app\configs directory, copy init-config.json to a temporary directory so that you can use it for reference when installing the new version.
  2. To uninstall Content Composer Web Client, complete the following substeps.
    1. Launch the same version of Hyland.ContentComposer.WebClient.Setup.exe that you used for installation.
Important: Do not use the current installer to uninstall an earlier version.
    2. In the Hyland Content Composer Web Client Setup dialog box, click the Uninstall button.
    3. When the uninstallation process has completed, click Close.
  3. To install the latest version, complete the steps in Installing Content Composer Web Client.
