Deactivate a user account to deny the user access to Content Innovation Cloud applications and services.

You may want to deactivate the accounts of users who have left your organization or who should be temporarily denied access to your Content Innovation Cloud account. Deactivated user accounts can be reactivated if access needs to be restored.

Note: When you deactivate a user, it takes time for the user's new status to be propagated to other Content Innovation Cloud applications and services.

To deactivate a user account:

  1. Open the Administration Portal.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • On the Dashboard page, click Find User in the Users tile.
    • Select the Identity tab under the banner.
    The Internal Users page is displayed.
  3. Optional: If you are deactivating a service user account, click Service Users in the sidebar.
  4. Select the user account you want to deactivate.
    Note: You cannot deactivate your current user account.
    The user configuration page is displayed.
  5. Click Deactivate User from the action bar at the top of the page.
    The Deactivate User dialog box is displayed.
  6. Click Deactivate User to confirm that you want to deactivate the user.
    The user account is deactivated, and a confirmation message is displayed.
