If users cannot access the Content Innovation Cloud because their email addresses are not verified, you can resend the users a verification email.

Users created using the Administration Portal must verify their email addresses by clicking a link in a verification email sent to them by the Content Innovation Cloud. Verification emails are sent automatically when administrators create new users or modify email addresses for existing users in the Administration Portal. If a user cannot find the email that was sent automatically, you can use the Administration Portal to send one manually.

Note: Users who sign in using federated authentication do not have to verify their email addresses. With federated authentication, a user's email address is set by the external identity provider and automatically verified.

To resend the verification email to a user:

  1. Open the Administration Portal.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • On the Dashboard page, click Find User in the Users tile.
    • Select the Identity tab below the application header.
The Internal Users page displays a list of users. The Status column displays Email Not Verified for users who have not verified their email addresses.
  3. Select the user from the Internal Users page.
    • To filter the list of users, click in the Search Internal Users field and enter the name or email address of the user you want to find.
    • To change how the list is sorted, click the header of the Username, First Name, or Last Name column.
The user configuration page is displayed. If a user's email address has not yet been verified, the message Email not verified is displayed under the action bar at the top of the page.
  4. Click Resend Verification Email from the action bar.
A confirmation message is displayed, and a verification email is sent to the specified email address.
