The Passphrase tab enables you to set an issuer passphrase. This passphrase is used to generate private and public keys, which are used to sign credentials on behalf of the issuer.

The public keys are added to the issuer’s profile to show ownership of the keys when verifying the signatory of a credential. The issuer must use a passphrase when requesting for a credential to be signed or anchored.

Note: The passphrase is not stored in Hyland Credentials and must be saved properly as it is needed to regenerate the private key.

Before you begin, you must navigate to the Credentials Issuer Config app after logging in to the User Portal.

To set up a passphrase:

  1. In the Issuing Settings page, select Edit Issuing Settings.
The Issuing Settings tabs are displayed.
  2. Select the Passphrase tab.
  3. Enter a valid passphrase in the Passphrase field.
  4. Select the acknowledgement checkbox and click Save.
    Your passphrase is saved.
