When a new environment is provisioned, several user groups are created by default. Do not delete or edit the default user groups unless directed to by a Hyland Administrator. If you need to create a new user group, see the Content Innovation Cloud Administration Portal documentation. Users must be manually added to these user groups. The following user groups exist by default:

| Account Administrators | This user group provides configuration rights in the CIC Administration Portal allowing for general platform administration. |
| Guidewire BC Content Users | This user group allows users to upload documents both from within Guidewire
BillingCenter and from within the Hyland CIC Platform. Note: Access to content may be further restricted by
Document Security configuration settings. For more information on
Document Security, refer to Configuring Document Security.

| Guidewire BC Solution Administrators | This user group provides configuration rights for backend processes such as document upload. |
| Guidewire BC Doc Security - Confidential | This user group corresponds to the Confidential Security Type
set in Guidewire BillingCenter. BillingCenter users assigned to this
user group can view documents uploaded to the
Confidential Security Type. CIC users assigned to the Guidewire BC Doc Security - Confidential user group can only view documents uploaded under the Security Type Confidential |
| Guidewire BC Doc Security - Unrestricted | This user group corresponds to the Unrestricted Document
Security Type in Guidewire BillingCenter. BillingCenter users assigned
to this user group can view documents uploaded under the
Unrestricted Document Security Types. CIC users assigned to the Guidewire BC Doc Security - Unrestricted user group can only view documents uploaded under the Security Type Unrestricted. When a document is uploaded to the Guidewire BC Doc Security - Unrestricted Security Group, the guid of this user group is added to the Document Security Type ID property for the document. |

Security Type in Guidewire BillingCenter. BillingCenter users assigned
