In Workday, a business object refers to a
fundamental data structure that represents a specific type of information within the
Workday system. Each business object corresponds to a specific entity or concept within

Workday provides a flexible framework that allows organizations to configure and customize these Business Objects according to their specific needs, making it a powerful tool for managing and analyzing organizational data.
You can configure a search query for a primary Business Object or a secondary search field, such as Employee ID. This enables you to access and retrieve documents through secondary search fields, rather than relying solely on the Business Object ID (or Employee Object ID).
