This section describes how system administrators can configure a Document Type Group to identify the OnBase Document Types that users can capture and retrieve for the selected Business Object.

Note: Before you begin, verify that you are logged on to Hyland for Workday and selected a Business Object to configure. If you have not completed these, see Configuring a Business Object for OnBase.

To configure Document Type Groups:

  1. Navigate to the Configure Document Type Groups tab.
Configure Document Type Groups tab selected
The Configure Document Type Groups for [Business Object Name] page is displayed, where [Business Object Name] is the name of the Business Object you selected.

For example, the Configure Document Type Groups for Employee page is displayed if you selected the Business Object Employee.

Note: If this feature is already configured, select the Configure again? check box to reconfigure it.
  2. From the Document Type Group drop-down list, select one or more Document Type Groups configured for the selected Business Object.

For example, for the Employee Business Object, select the Document Type Group that contains the OnBase Document Types configured for employee documents.

Note: The available Document Type Groups depend on the configuration of the connected OnBase repository. The selected Document Type Groups determine which OnBase Document Types are available for document capture. The Document Types available to each user also depend on the user’s OnBase permissions.
  3. From the Select Document Type drop-down list, select a Document Type to associate with the Document Type Group selected.
  4. Click OK.
