Hyland for Workday allows you to select the columns for the Document Grid, how these columns are displayed, and the metadata for uploaded documents. You can configure these through the Configure Dynamic Columns tab in Hyland for Workday. The metadata for documents that are captured using Hyland for Workday provide context to the documents and are used for filtering and displaying documents in the Document Grid.

To configure dynamic columns:

Note:
  1. From the Configure Hyland for Workday page, navigate to the Configure Dynamic Columns tab.
    Configure Dynamic Columns tab selected
The Configure Dynamic Columns for Employee page is displayed. This page displays the Saved Columns table, the total number of preconfigured columns and their respective alias names.

  2. From the list of columns displayed under Select columns to be configured, select one or more column names you want to include in the Document Grid while viewing documents.
Note: Selecting the Version Control column as a dynamic column does not enable revision functionality. The applicable document revision controls must also be configured to be displayed, and the connected content repository must support revisions. If the revision controls are hidden, users cannot capture or view document revisions from Hyland for Workday. For more information, see Configuring Document Revision Controls.
Next to each column name you selected, a text box is displayed under the column Alias Name.
