Capturing a new revision of an existing document involves importing a supported file, editing its properties (or metadata), and adding it as a version of an existing document in the context of an employee record that exists in Workday.

You can upload one document as a new revision of an existing document at a time. Once uploaded, you can view revisions later in Hyland for Workday on desktop or mobile, depending on your role and permissions.

Before you capture a supported file as a new revision of an existing document, ensure the following:

  • the connected repository and the applicable Content Type support revisions.

  • the Capture New Revision control must be displayed.

  • your role has permissions to capture document revisions.

For more information on assigning permissions, see Configuring Document Access Permission

To capture a new revision of a document:

  1. Log on to Hyland for Workday.
    The Home page is displayed.
  2. Open the Employee Documents page.

For more information on how to navigate to and open the Employee Documents page, see Viewing a Document.

  3. Click Login To Hyland.
Based on your role or authorization level, the Employee Documents page is displayed. This page displays all documents related to an employee.
