When you start an Office application for the first time, the system starts SAOI32.exe which does not consume a license.
Even after all Office applications have been ended, the SAOI32.exe continues running in the background.
When executing an action with Office Integration 3, the system sets up a connection to Saperion. If no Saperion client is running yet, the system automatically starts. The system maintains this connection, even if the visible Saperion client has been closed. In the task manager, you can see that an archie32.exe process is still running.
This assures shorter waiting times when you execute further actions with Office Integration.
