For some browser interactions, such as mouse and key events, RPA needs to attach the Chrome debugger. The debugger is detached when the action is complete.

The banner is intended to alert the user to the fact that an extension is currently active and debugging the browser. To configure the Chrome browser to never display the banner, complete the following steps:

  1. To launch Chrome once using the command-line switch:
    1. Open a Command Prompt window.
    2. Navigate to the directory in which the Chrome.exe file is located.
      cd C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\
    3. Launch Chrome with the following command:
      chrome.exe --silent-debugger-extension-api
  2. To launch Chrome always using the command-line switch:
    1. Right-click the shortcut you use to start the Chrome browser and then click Properties.
The Google Chrome Properties dialog box is displayed.
    2. In the Target field, add --silent-debugger-extension-api at the end.
      "C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --silent-debugger-extension-api
