Problem

When you change the computer name on a computer running BizTalk Server, and you restart (reboot) the computer, error messages may occur.

Cause

SQL Server does not support changing the computer name, so BizTalk Server does not support changing the computer name once BizTalk Server is installed and configured.

Resolution

We recommend that you do not change computer names after you install BizTalk Server.
