A partner profile equates to a system that either sends or receives IDocs. A new partner profile must be created for each machine that will receive the IDocs from SAP. The partner profile is used by ALE to figure out which systems have subscribed to send or receive IDocs.

To create the Partner profile:

  1. Execute transaction WE20.
    The following screen is displayed.
    The Partner Profiles screen in SAP.

  2. Click the Create button.
  3. Enter the name of the logical system you created in the Partner no. field.
  4. Enter LS(Logical System) in the Partn. Type field.
  5. Click the Save button.
