With version 12c, Oracle introduced the multitenant database architecture. In version 12c, Oracle has deprecated the single database architecture in favor of this new multitenant container-based architecture. It is supported and recommended to implement the OnBase database as a pluggable database in Oracle 12c and higher environments.
Note:
It is considered a best practice to provide OnBase its own root container, and there should be no other pluggable databases in that root container. For more information, see Dedicating Resources.
