The EDM Briefcase can be installed as a published application, or locally on the client workstation as a stand-alone EDM Briefcase. If it is installed locally, users can check out documents from OnBase through a remote session and then disconnect from the remote session and continue working with the documents.
Note:
If the EDM Briefcase is installed locally, it must still be installed on the Remote Desktop Server in order to synchronize documents. The configuration in both places must match (e.g., configuring the Data Storage Location).
With either virtualization environment deployment methodology, a unique, secure location for checked out documents must be configured.
