When configuring an HTML form to accept signatures in real time, the location of the signature placeholders must be configured differently for use in a virtualization environment.
In a standard workstation environment, the HTML is configured as follows (this example uses a form that requires three signatures):
<P><IMG height="200" alt=signature src="C:\temp\signature.bmp" width="800" border="0"></P> <P><IMG height="200" alt=2signature src="C:\temp\signature2.bmp" width="800" border="0"></P> <P><IMG height="200" alt=3signature src="C:\temp\signature3.bmp" width="800" border="0"></P>
In a virtualization environment, C: points to a location on the server, which is accessible by all users. This creates a data integrity and security issue. In order to ensure that the placeholders are written to a secure, unique location, this code should be altered to point to the user's mapped home drive (File Storage Locations). If the user's mapped drive is established at Y:, the code must then be altered as follows:
<P><IMG height="200" alt=signature src="Y:\temp\signature.bmp" width="800" border="0"></P> <P><IMG height="200" alt=2signature src="Y:\temp\signature2.bmp" width="800" border="0"></P> <P><IMG height="200" alt=3signature src="Y:\temp\signature3.bmp" width="800" border="0"></P>
