Assigning Institutions to Users in the Web Client - Assigning Institutions to Users in the Web Client - In the Web Client, administrators and institutional super users can assign institutions to users. Institutions can only be assigned in layer 3 institutional databases. In the Web Client, administrators and institutional super users can assign institutions to users. Institutions can only be assigned in layer 3 institutional databases. See the Web Server documentation for more information on using the Web Client administration layout.

1. In the Web Client, click the Main Menu button and select Open Administration from the menu list.
   The Administration layout is displayed, with administration options listed.
2. Select Users.
   Any users for which you have administration rights are displayed.
3. Find and click the name of the user you want to assign institutions to.
   A pop-up menu with available options is displayed.
4. Click Configure.
   The user configuration layout is displayed.
5. In the Institutions section, find the institution you want to assign to the user in the Available Institutions list.
   
6. Click the name of the institution in the Available Institutions list.
   The institution is moved to the Assigned Institutions list.
7. To remove any assigned institution, click the name of the institution in the Assigned Institutions list.
   The institution is moved to the Available Institutions list.
8. Click Save.
