The OnBase Integration for Cityworks Server connects documents generated outside of your Cityworks application (e.g., correspondence, invoices, site photos, paper permit applications, etc.) to transactional records generated within Cityworks, and allows these records to be stored in OnBase.
Regardless of how they originated, these documents can be stored in the OnBase repository and retrieved directly from the Cityworks interface by clicking the OnBase View Documents option. This integration provides access to critical unstructured data that supports decision making, helps eliminate risk, and reduces the cost of paper record storage.
Note: This documentation provides guidance on the integration with
legacy versions of Cityworks, including Cityworks Office and Cityworks Office Companion.
Cityworks Office, Cityworks Office Companion, and Cityworks Public Access portal version
5, which were previously integrated with OnBase, have
been sunset by Trimble. Similar integration functionality is now available within the
Trimble Unity Respond application, for both Asset Management Services (AMS) and
Permitting, Licensing, and Land (PLL) use cases, as well as the Trimble Unity Permit
Public Access application. For more information on these capabilities, see the
Integration for Trimble Unity and Cityworks documentation.
