This feature requires that your OnBase solution be configured for Active Directory or LDAP Authentication and that your HP device is configured for walk-up Active Directory or LDAP Authentication. See the Authentication documentation and your HP device documentation for more information.

To configure Automatic Active Directory or LDAP Authentication for the Integration for HP Connect:

  1. From the server hosting the OnBase-HP web server, browse to the folder containing the OnBase-HP web server's installation files (typically, C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\ HP OnBase Connect).
  2. Open the OnBase-HP web server's Web.config file in a text editor, such as Notepad.
  3. Navigate to the <Hyland.HPConnect.Authentication> section and make the following changes:
    1. Set the LogonType setting to Automatic. For example:
      <Hyland.HPConnect.Authentication LogonType="Automatic"/>
    2. Set the AuthenticationType setting to Domain. For example:
      <Hyland.HPConnect.Authentication AuthenticationType= "Domain"/>
  4. Save and close the Web.config file. The change is reflected on the HP device the next time the Integration for HP Connect is closed and relaunched.
