This feature requires that your OnBase solution be configured for Active Directory or LDAP Authentication. See the Legacy Authentication Methods documentation for more information.

To configure Interactive Active Directory or LDAP Authentication for the Integration for HP Connect:

  1. From the server hosting the OnBase-HP web server, browse to the folder containing the OnBase-HP web server's installation files (typically, C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\ HP OnBase Connect).
  2. Open the OnBase-HP web server's Web.config file in a text editor, such as Notepad.
  3. Navigate to the <Hyland.HPConnect.Authentication> section and make the following changes:
    1. Set the LogonType setting to Interactive. For example:
      <Hyland.HPConnect.Authentication LogonType="Interactive"/>
    2. Set the AuthenticationType setting to Domain. For example:
      <Hyland.HPConnect.Authentication AuthenticationType= "Domain"/>
    3. Specify a value for the Domain setting. This value is displayed as the default value in the Domain field on the Log On screen, but users are able to manually change it. For example:
      <Hyland.HPConnect.Authentication Domain="Users"/>
  4. Save and close the Web.config file. The change is reflected on the HP device the next time the Integration for HP Connect is closed and relaunched.
