The Integration for HP Connect is installed on a server on the same network as your OnBase Application Server. This server is referred to below as the OnBase-HP web server in order to differentiate it from the OnBase Application Server.
It is not required that the OnBase-HP web server and the OnBase Application Server be hosted on the same physical machine.
It is considered a best practice to use SSL encryption for your OnBase-HP web server to ensure that the data being transmitted from your HP devices to the OnBase-HP web server and the data being transmitted from the OnBase-HP web server to the OnBase Application Server is secure. See the Web Server administrator documentation for tips on configuring an SSL connection for the OnBase-HP web server. Additionally, be aware that the appropriate security certificates must be installed on the HP devices using their web servers or the HP Web Jetadmin software.
