To establish a secure connection and trusted integration between Trimble Unity Permit Public Access and OnBase, an extensibility signature key must be generated in Trimble Unity Permit Public Access and inserted into the Plan Review's Web.config settings.

To generate and configure a Trimble signature key:

  1. Access Trimble Unity Permit Public Access as a Trimble administrator by entering your Trimble URL in a browser.
  2. Log on using your credentials.
  3. From the side menu, select Site Config.
The Site Configuration page is displayed.
  4. Click Get New Key.
A new, encrypted key is generated in the Extensibility Signature Key field.
  5. Copy the key to your system's clipboard.
  6. Navigate to the Plan Review's Web.config file.
By default, the file is located at C:\inetpub\wwwroot\PlanReview\Web.config.
  7. Open the Web.config file in a text editor, such as Notepad.
  8. Navigate to the <Hyland.Integrations> section and paste the generated key as the value of SignatureKey value.
  9. Save the Web.config file.
The extensibility signature key is generated and configured to secure the integration between Trimble Unity Permit Public Access and OnBase. To configure other required integration settings within the Plan Review's Web.config file, see Configuring the Plan Review Web.config File.
