Running OnBase as a Windows service allows the OnBase Client to run as a background process that automatically starts and runs when the computer boots, without user intervention. You can configure the OnBase Client to run as a Windows Service through either the OnBase Client or Configuration modules.
It is recommended that a separate user account be created to use OnBase as a Windows service, with only the permissions explicitly needed by the service. This user account cannot be configured as a service account in OnBase.
Before a user account can execute a service process, it must be granted the Log On As Service Windows privilege on the local machine. It is recommended to create a new distinguished account solely for the purpose of running the service.
