Once the Temp File Service is fully installed and configured, you must configure the location of the Temp File Service for the API Server.

Note: The Temp File Service must be installed and configured with an active mid-term storage location. For installation instructions, see the API Server documentation.

To configure the location of the Temp File Service:

  1. From the API Server installation directory, in the config folder, open the 1_server.json configuration file in a plain-text editor. In a default installation, this directory is located at C:\Program Files\Hyland\ApiServer\config.
    Note:

    In Windows, the JSON file must be opened with administrative privileges.

  2. Locate the TempFileStorage element.
  3. For the Address variable, enter the location of the Temp File Service using the following format, where my.domain is the machine name hosting the Temp File Service:
    "Address": "https:/my.domain/ApiServer/tempfs/"
  4. Save and close the 1_server.json configuration file.
  5. Recycle the application pool of the OnBase API Server for your changes to take effect.
