To configure a Document Type for a specific HCM Business Object Type, you must create a Keyword Type in OnBase to store the Business Object ID. Then, you must assign this Keyword Type to the corresponding Document Type.

To configure a Document Type:

  1. Log on to the OnBase Configuration module and select Document | Document Types.
The Document Types dialog box is displayed.
  2. Select a Document Type Group to which the Document Type is assigned.
  3. In the Document Types field, enter the name of a new Document Type and click Create.
  4. (Optional) Add a prefix to each Document Type name to clearly indicate the Document Type Group it belongs to.
The new Document Type is added to the Document Type list and the Configuration dialog box is displayed.
  5. Define configuration parameters in the Configuration dialog box.
Tip: To change these parameters later, select the Document Type and then click Settings.
  6. Assign all the relevant Keyword Types to the document.
