The Intelligent Correspondence for Revenue Cycle (ICRC) solution integrates with the Content Innovation Cloud (CIC) as an external application. To communicate with the CIC, the registered application for ICRC needs to have the icrc-batch-notification user mapped and specific allowed scopes.

To create an external application for ICRC:

  1. Log in to the Content Innovation Cloud User Portal.
For more information on how to log in to the Content Innovation Cloud User Portal, see Sign-in Options in the Content Innovation Cloud Administration Portal documentation.
  2. Under System Configuration, click Administration Portal.
    The Dashboard tab is displayed.
  3. Click the External Systems tab.
The External Applications page is displayed.
  4. Click Create External Application.
The Create External Application wizard is displayed.
  5. Select Service Application.
  6. Click Next Step.
The Application Name page is displayed.
  7. In the Application Name field, enter icrc-batch-notification.
  8. Click Next Step.
The User Mapping page is displayed.
  9. From the Mapped Service User drop-down menu, select icrc-batch-notification.
For more information on creating the icrc-batch-notification user, see Creating the icrc-batch-notification Service User.
  10. Click Next Step.
The Allowed Scopes page is displayed.
  11. From the Allowed Scopes drop-down menu, select the following scopes:
    • hxp
    • hxp.integrations
    • hxp.nucleus.account
    • hxpr
    • hxps
    • openid
  12. Click Next Step.
    The Review page is displayed.
  13. Ensure the correct information is displayed.

The following table shows the information that should be displayed for each value:

    Information Displayed Value
    Application Type Service Application
    Application Name icrc-batch-notification
    Mapped Service User icrc-batch-notification
Allowed Scopes hxp, hxp.integrations, hxp.nucleus.account, hxpr, hxps, openid
  14. Click Create External Application.
The application is registered, and the Summary page displays the autogenerated application ID and client secret for ICRC.
  15. Copy the Application ID and Secret values.
ICRC requires these values to obtain access tokens from the Content Innovation Cloud.
CAUTION: The Secret value isn't shown again after the Create External Application wizard is closed. If necessary, you can reset the secret as described in Resetting the Secret for an External Application in the Content Innovation Cloud Administration Portal documentation.
