Before using the Intelligent MedRecords (IMR) solution, you need to install and/or configure the following requisite components:
- OnBase Environment
- Intelligent Document Processing (IDP)
- Automate
- Content Federation Services (CFS)
- Metadata and Content Abstraction (MCA)
- Workflow
- Custom Scan Queues in the Capture Process Designer (CPD)
OnBase Environment
IMR requires an environment with OnBase fully installed and configured.
The minimum version of OnBase compatible with IMR is OnBase Foundation 24.1.
Intelligent Document Processing (IDP)
Hyland Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) provides AI-enabled document capture, classification, and data extraction. IDP is integrated into Automate, and the IMR solution uses IDP to extract and classify data.
For more information on how to configure IDP, see the Hyland Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) documentation.
Automate
Automate is a low-code application development platform available as a service on the Content Innovation Cloud (CIC). The IMR solution is accessed through the Studio Modeler application (which is part of Automate), so users and applications need to be configured in Automate Administration before using the IMR solution.
For more information on configuration and the architecture of Automate, see the Hyland Automate Administration documentation. For more information on how to use the Studio Modeler application, see the Hyland Automate Modeler documentation.
Content Federation Services (CFS)
The Content Federation Services (CFS) allows connectivity from Content Innovation Cloud (CIC) components, and it allows users to access content stored on their repositories from CIC applications. The CFS uses brokers to communicate data between a repository and components in the CIC, including the IMR solution.
For more information on installing and configuring the CFS, see the Content Federation Services documentation.
Metadata and Content Abstraction (MCA)
Metadata and Content Abstraction (MCA) provides a way for applications to access metadata from content services platforms (such as OnBase) using REST API endpoints. MCA translates platform-specific concepts (such as Document Types in OnBase) to generic concepts that can be applied across multiple platforms, including the IMR solution.
For more information about setting up and configuring MCA, see the Metadata and Content Abstraction documentation.
Workflow
For OnBase users, the Workflow module is an electronic document routing system that processes documents using configurable rules and actions. In Workflow, documents are processed along life cycles, and certain life cycles are required for the IMR solution to process documents for OnBase.
For more information about setting up and configuring the Workflow module, see the Workflow documentation corresponding to your version of OnBase.
Custom Scan Queues in the Capture Process Designer (CPD)
For OnBase users, the Capture Process Designer (CPD) allows administrators to customize the way scanned batches are routed and processed through the batch status queries within Document Imaging. Scan queues may be customized to route and process documents for particular solutions, including the IMR solution.
Custom scan queues in the CPD are enabled in OnBase Configuration and configured within OnBase Studio. For more information about setting up and configuring the CPD, see Studio - Capture Process Designer Configuration in the Document Imaging documentation corresponding to your version of OnBase.
