Before you begin the transition, take the following precautionary steps.

  1. Back up your 32-bit Saperion installation, including all system and configuration files.
  2. Set up a 64-bit ODBC data source analogous to your existing 32-bit data source. The name of the new data source should correspond to the name of the 32-bit system (you can add this information later in the PROGRAM.INI file).
  3. Install a 64-bit Java 1.8 or 11 JDK. For more details, refer to the Saperion Technical Specifications.
