Save Fonts

In the recent past, form authors had limited font choices when designing forms.  If users didn't have the same font installed on their computers, a different font would be substituted by the operating system (usually Courier).

The Save Fonts feature of TransForm Designer gives form authors the ability to use virtually any TrueType font in their form designs.  TransForm Filler will then display the form as it was intended, without the font substitutions noted in other applications.

Font Licensing

While most fonts are freely distributable, some TrueType fonts require a license.  TransForm Designer informs you whether or not a license is required for a particular TrueType font each time you choose to save fonts in your form.

Note:  The form file size increases for each font you save.  If you want to maintain a small file size for your form, limit your font choices to Arial, Times New Roman, or Courier, which are always installed by the Windows operating system.

Using Save Fonts

  1. Select Save Fonts from the Form Menu to display the TrueType Fonts To Save window.  This window displays each of the TrueType fonts used in your form.

  2. Check the fonts you want to embed in the form, and press Save.
