Reindex

After you change certain index options in Perceptive Enterprise Search - Local Administration Console, you will be prompted to perform a Reindex. Reindexing is also necessary if you are upgrading from a previous version of Perceptive Search or if for some reason your index has become corrupted. A Reindex completely rebuilds all your index files and brings your index files up to date.

To reindex an index, select:

  1. Start Perceptive Enterprise Search - Local Administration Console
  2. Open the index you wish to modify, you can do this by either:
    • Selecting it from the My Index Catalog list
    • Select File > Open an Index from the menu and browse to the location where the index is stored
  3. From the menu, select Index > Reindex
  4. You can log the output of a reindex by clicking the Log button.
  5. Click OK to begin the reindex.
