You will be presented with a list of folders and databases. If you want to index
all items, simply click the Select All button, or you can select individual
items to include or exclude from the index by clicking on the
button to the left of each item. It may be one of the following:
Inherited (Default Options)
This removes any explicit rule set on this folder. The folder will revert to an
implied rule.
Index all documents in and under
This option instructs Perceptive Search to index all items contained within this folder and any
subfolders.
Index all documents in but not under
This option instructs Perceptive Search to index only those items contains within this folder.
Subfolders are not indexed.
Index documents under but not in
This option instructs Perceptive Search to index only the subfolders of this folder. Items contained
directly in this folder are not indexed.
Exclude all
documents in and under
This option instructs Perceptive Search to exclude all items
contained within this folder or its subfolders from being indexed.
Exclude all documents in but not under
This option instructs Perceptive Search to exclude all items contained within this
folder. Items contained within subfolders of this folder will retain an implicit
rule, their status is decided based on folders higher in the folder hierarchy.
Exclude documents under but not in
This option instructs Perceptive Search to exclude all documents in subfolders of this
folder. Items contained within this folder will be indexed.
Index all documents
Applies to database nodes only. This option instructs Perceptive Search to index all items contained
within this database should be indexed.
Exclude all
documents
Applies to database nodes only. This option instructs Perceptive Search to exclude all items from
this database.
Choose a view
Applies to database nodes only. Allows you to select the view that will be used when indexing
the database.
