Twitter Cog
The Twitter ContextCog is pre-configured and enabled out-of-the-box to connect Twitter and search for #hashtags.
To configure the Twitter cog, from the Perceptive Enterprise Search Administration Console:
- Click the ContextCogs link on the home page
- Select “Twitter” from the list
The following configuration options are available:
- XSLT Template – specifies an alternate XSLT template to use when rendering Twitter status
information. The default is to use the Twitter.xslt located in the Perceptive Enterprise Search\WebCog
folder.
- Proxy URL – specifies the host and port of the proxy server that will be used when searching Twitter.
If it is blank, the global proxy settings will be used.
- Must use hashtag # – specifies if the Twitter cog will only accept searches that include hashtags (word starting with hash #).
- Must use @ – specifies if the Twitter cog will only accept searches that include word which starts with @.
- Language – specifies the preferred language of the Twitter results.
- Number of results – specifies the maximum number of results that Twitter will return.
- Date format – specifies the date format for the tweets. Using the "AGE" will include how long ago the tweet was posted.
