Perceptive Enterprise Search makes installing and managing your ContextCogs easy. It comes pre-configured with four Cogs that you can add to your website, or you can create and install your own. This section outlines how to configure the existing Cogs.
There are two sections for managing ContextCogs:
The ContextCog list shows the configured cogs for your Perceptive Enterprise Search Server, a cog must be configured before it can be added to your website. You will find the ContextCog in the Perceptive Enterprise Search Administration Console under:
Home > ContextCogs
Perceptive Enterprise Search ships with four ContextCogs pre-configured, these are: Contacts, Expression Evaluator, Twitter and Type Convert.
You can delete any existing cog by click the delete button to the right of the cog name. To edit the cog, simply click the cog name.
Each website can be configured as to whether ContextCogs should be shown, and if so, which cogs to use. You will find the website ContextCog configuration in the Perceptive Enterprise Search Administration Console under:
Home > WebSites > [Site Name] > Customizations > ContextCogs
From this screen, you can enable or disable all ContextCogs, and choose which ContextCogs are to be processed for this website.
