Server Settings

Search Settings apply to remote indexes that you have imported from a remote Perceptive Enterprise Search server. They outline the connection details for the remote server.

Server URL

Specifies the URL to the remote Perceptive Enterprise Search Server. The URL may be either HTTP or HTTPS.

Remote Index Name

Specifies the name of the index on the remote Perceptive Enterprise Search Server, this name does not have to match the local index name.

Connection Timeout

Indicates the maximum amount of time to wait for a connection the be established to the remote server.

Send Timeout

Indicates the maximum amount of time to wait for the remote search request to be sent to the remote server.

Receive Timeout

Indicates the maximum amount of time to wait for the remote search to return from the remote server.

Logon Type

Indicates how to log into the remote server. This is dependent on the configuration of the remote server. For example, if the remote server only accepts anonymous connections, this setting will have no effect.
