Modifying the Concept Taxonomy hierarchy

You can move nodes within the concept taxonomy, each indentation indicates the level of a concept within the hierarchy, as with folders and sub-folders.

To modify a concept taxonomy hierarchy:

  1. Open the index you wish to modify, you can do this by either:
    • Selecting it from the My Index Catalog list
    • Select File > Open an Index from the menu and browse to the location where the index is stored
  2. From the menu, select Index > Concept Taxonomy, the concept taxonomy editor will be shown.
  3. Select the node you wish to move, nodes can be moved using the following:
    • Add - add a new node at the selected position
    • Edit - edit the selected node
    • Delete - delete the selected node
    • Promote - move the selected node up one level in the hierarchy
    • Demote - move the selected node down one level in the hierarchy
    • Move Up - move the selected node up one
    • Move Down - move the selected node down one
  4. Select File > Save and Close to update the Concept Taxonomy.
