SharePoint
Perceptive Enterprise Search supports indexing of your SharePoint server, you can either create
a new index or add a DMS indexing rule to an existing index.
Requirements
- Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013 / Microsoft SharePointFoundation 2013
- Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 / Microsoft SharePoint Foundation 2010 / Windows SharePoint Services 4.0
- Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 / Windows SharePoint Services 3.0
- SharePoint Portal Server 2003 / Windows SharePoint Services 2.0
- SharePoint Portal Server 2001 / SharePoint Team Services 2001
SharePoint Server
Enter the URL to the SharePoint server.

You will get an error if you point it at a server that does not have SharePoint
installed and running.
Click Next.

SharePoint Folders
Select the folders that you wish to index.
You will be shown a folder hierarchy as it appears on the SharePoint server.
Each folder can have different rules applied. To set a folder, click the arrow
at the left of the folder icon. The rule may be one of the following: - Inherited (Default Options)
- Include all documents in and under
- Include all documents in but not under
- Include all documents under but not in
- Exclude all documents in and under
- Exclude all documents in but not under
- Exclude all documents under but not it
The tree will show a visual indication of what the Perceptive Enterprise Search will do at indexing time,
whether it is included or excluded from the index.

Confirmation
The final step is to confirm your settings, you can also opt to: - Index attachments
Some SharePoint list types such as discussions and new items allow users to attach
files to them. Check this option to have Perceptive Enterprise Search index the items as well as their attachments. - Index all versions
The default behavior of Perceptive Enterprise Search is to index only the latest revision of each document.
Check this option to have Perceptive Enterprise Search index all revisions.

Troubleshooting
This does not appear to be a valid SharePoint website
This error is usually accompanied by an extended error message, it usually means
you have pointed to a server that does not have SharePoint, or the SharePoint service
is not running.
