Lotus Notes Wizard

Perceptive Enterprise Search supports indexing of Lotus Notes, you can either create a new index or add a Lotus indexing rule to an existing index.

Requirements

Lotus Nodes Credentials

The first time you use the Lotus Notes wizard, you will be prompted to enter your Lotus Notes password. Perceptive Enterprise Search needs to store your password so it can access the Lotus client for indexing.

Perceptive Enterprise Search will automatically pick up your username based on your Notes ID file.

The password is stored for all rules, you will only need to set it once.

If you change your Lotus Notes password, you will need to update the stored password, you can change it from the Lotus Notes Rules section of any index.

You can browse for known Lotus Domino servers by clicking the "Browse..." button, a dialog will be shown listing the known servers.

You are not able to modify the server name of an existing Lotus Notes rule.

Security Server

Perceptive Enterprise Search can also implement document level security on NSF databases stored on a Lotus Domino server. To enable this feature, your Domino server must have DIIOP configured and running. Enter the server name and port of the Domino server in the form of servername:port.

Once you have entered the server details, you can test your configuration.  To do so, click the "Test..." button and enter a user name and password of a known account.
